Amy Mihaly & Monica Corrado

Amy MihalyAmy Mihaly, FNP-BC, CGP is a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified GAPS Practitioner in Loveland, Colorado. She has worked with women and children since 2007 in many arenas, including labor and delivery, pediatrics, postpartum care, newborn nursery, and the NICU. She is also the oldest of nine children, and was quite involved in the raising of her younger siblings, including her youngest sister with Down’s Syndrome. Supporting parents (especially mothers) in the amazing, challenging and rewarding life they have chosen is a passion of hers. She believes support means more than hints and check-boxes. Encouragement, understanding and affirmation are also need to be present to provide parents with essential emotional support.In 2013 she found the power of healing foods, and Be Well Clinic was born. Using the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) healing protocol, she has helped herself and many others find deep healing and previously unknown levels of health. In 2016 she published a book that explains, in an easy-to-understand way, how the body heals, and what food has to do with it. In her practice, she has worked with families with children on the Autism spectrum. She has seen the behavioral challenges often accompanying dietary changes in these children, and has spent time working with the parents to overcome them. She is a dynamic teacher, speaker, consultant, and author who lives to share the tools, knowledge and inspiration to cook nourishing, traditional food. Monica has been teaching food as medicine throughout the US for more than 11 years after 18 years in sustainable food sourcing and preparation, menu design and management. She is a member of the Honorary Board of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Monica started her own Cooking for Well-Being Teacher Training program in 2012, and has teachers all over the globe, from Mexico to Hong Kong, to Canada and the United States.Monica’s current work focuses on the Gut-Brain connection. She enjoys empowering others by teaching them how to heal a leaky gut through food via the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) protocol and others. She has had tremendous results with those on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD and autoimmune disorders, as she knows and teaches that food is the foundation of well-being in body, mind and spirit.
